This is a sponsored post. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Do you ever take road trips? I take at least one every year. It’s usually back home to visit. I took one this past week back to Indiana. The drive was 10.5 hours. It was just Logan and I. I was a little nervous making such a long drive essentially by myself. However, it went great. The drive from Richmond to Indianapolis is a piece of cake.
I have a few road trip must haves. The first must have is GPS. I have no idea how people did it with a just a map. I can read a map but it takes much longer. And when you are trying to navigate on your own while driving, the simpler the better. My dad and my sister are great with directions. My dad can read the map once and memorize the whole route.
The next must have is music. I did a mix of XM radio, Pandora, and my iTunes playlist. I mainly listen to country these days. On the trip I listened to all different genres. There were some really great 80s that I had completely forgotten about. Nothing like a great song to get you pumped and help push through the remainder of the drive.
Caffeine! I have to have my coffee. I started with a caramel macchiato. For lunch I got an iced coffee. I was wired. I usually only have one cup a day. The caffeine really kicks in when you are just sitting in a car all day. Once I got to my destination I was ready to run a marathon. Does it make you feel that way? My whole insides were a buzz :)
It also helps to have a comfortable car. I love my car. I have a Hyundai Sonata. If you need a comfortable car I know just the right place. Priority One Auto Group will get you fixed right up. The only thing I wished I had was leather seats. But I really can’t complain. Other than that my car is great.
Do you ever take road trips? Tell me your must haves in the comments.
