Thank you to Metro Diner for inviting me in to try out the newest Indiana location. I was provided a free meal in exchange for my honest review.
Last Friday my sister met me for lunch at Metro Diner. They just opened a location on the Butler campus. It was really easy to find. It is located in front of the parking garage so parking was super convenient and free. We went right at lunch time. The place was hopping. We put in our names and only waited about 5 minutes.
There were so many dishes on the menu that caught my eye. They really have a little of everything. I have no doubt that everyone can find something up their alley. I finally decided on the Reuben. My sister got the special of the day which was a chicken salad melt. I have heard they are known for their portions. They did not disappoint. The waiter asked me half way through if I was going to need a box. Nope! I was going to conquer this sammy in one sitting!
My Reuben was delicious. I may dare to say that it’s one of the best I have ever had. The bread was toasted perfectly. I also stole a few bites of Emily’s chicken salad. Wow! It was really good. She ended up saving half of the melt and enjoying it again later. The food was really tasty. I cannot wait to try more. My sister also tried their hazelnut coffee. It was yummy. Just the right amount of hazelnut and was not overpowering.
Metro Diner is just that. A really cool diner with a relaxed vibe. I felt right at home. The whole staff was super nice and accommodating. Although they were busy I never felt rushed. The manager even came out to chat with us. I really enjoyed my experience. I will definitely be back. I am dying to try their breakfast.
