What a busy first week of summer! It’s been great. My mom and my nephew, Brayden are visiting. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far!
How did my baby already graduate preschool? His graduation was bittersweet. I felt so much pride watching him on stage. They sang a couple of songs and then got their certificates. He has grown so much in the past year. I am so proud of him. My little baby is becoming a big boy.
Both of my boys will be in school full time in the fall. I don’t think it’s set in yet. My first stage of empty nester. It’s a little terrifying if I’m being completely honest. The boys are becoming more and more independent every day. It is a very weird place for a momma to be. My whole life has been about the boys for the past seven years. I will have to figure out my new normal.
I am planning on soaking up every minute I can with them this summer. The summers are going to mean so much more to us now. I love these little boys so much!
My family means the world to me. I treasure all the time we spend together. I love it when we can get together with our extended family since it doesn’t happen often. The wilds soak up every minute they get with their grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Since we all live so far away we make the most of our time together.
I have also started to teach the boys that every family looks different. Nathan understands a little more than Logan. I have had to explain to him why he has three grandpas and three grandmas. He still doesn’t completely understand but he will in time. I love his little curious mind. He puts things together so quickly.
Families do not look like they did in the past. I want to instill in my boys that is okay. Diversity is good. I want them to always have an open mind and accept everyone. We need more love and acceptance in this world. If everyone does a better job with this, it will be a much better place for my boys to live.
