Last Sunday before dress shopping my sister, mom, and myself headed to brunch. I absolutely love brunch. I googled best places for brunch in Greenwood and a place called Revery caught my eye. The reviews looked great. I decided we’d give it a go. Oh and boy and I am glad we did. I am so excited to share my experience.
We arrived at 10:30 and were promptly seated. Revery is such a charming spot. From the exposed brick to hardwood floors everything is super cute. They have such fun touches that really make them stand out. For instance they start everyone with popcorn. We opted to do the liquid nitrogen option. It was so cool! Pun intended :) It makes the popcorn cold, smokey, and gives it a unique texture. It was so much fun.
I started off with a bloody mary. I mean you can’t have lunch without this iconic brunch cocktail, right?! It did not disappoint. It was then time to order our entrees. The whole menu looked amazing. It was hard to make a decision. I finally opted for the Chroizo and Potato omelet. My sister ordered the Shrimp and Grits. Mom ordered the biscuits and gravy. We did not have to wait long for these delicious eats.
I cannot stop thinking about the food. The flavors in my omelet were so rich and delicious. I tried my sister’s shrimp and grits and oh m gee! I wish I had a word to describe the sauce. It was creamy, decadent, and unforgettable. I don’t normally like grits but these were wonderful. Mom’s biscuits and gravy was one of the best I have eaten. It was flavorful and spicy just how I like it.
I literally cannot say enough about the food. You really need to go in and try it for yourself. I am trying to figure out when I can get back to the south side for lunch or dinner. If their brunch was this amazing I just cannot fathom how awesome the rest of menu has to be. My sister and I keep telling everyone we know about Revery. It has taken it’s place as my new favorite restaurant.
And I almost forgot to tell you about the cotton candy. Every meal ends with a bowl of delicious lime cotton candy. It was such a cute surprise. I managed to grab one bite before my sister devoured it all :) Seriously, go! You can thank me later. And this post was NOT sponsored. I just really wanted to spread the word about this must visit eatery.
