Sloppy Joe reminds me of my childhood. This was a dish my mom made often. I always enjoyed it. We would make it from a can. Once I realized how easy it is to make homemade Sloppy Joe I will never use a can again. There is something very warm and cozy about making such a familiar dish from scratch.
You only need a few ingredients and you probably already have them on hand. You use onion, green pepper, ground beef, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and buns. I add one more special ingredient for an extra punch. I use A1 steak sauce. It gives it a bold tang that I love.
This dish is so simple to make. You simply brown the ground beef, add all the ingredients, and simmer for about ten minutes. It is easy peasy from start to plate. And it comes together very quickly. If you need something quick and easy this is your dinner. You get a good hardy meal in minutes.
