I don’t know about you but there is just something about a campfire that I really love. It takes me back to my childhood. Growing up my family spent every weekend camping. The smell of the burning logs evokes such happy memories. I personally feel like you cannot have a campfire without s’mores. I’m always up for a good s’more. You can often hear me saying let’s make s’mores tonight (any day can be a S’mores Day). They are super easy and quick to make.
We have so much fun with our s’mores. The good old fashioned Jet-Puffed Marshmallows, Hershey’s chocolate bar, and Honey Maid Graham Cracker Squares is my favorite. I always make sure to pick up the goodies when I am in Walmart. You can seriously always find s’mores supplies in my pantry. I have been known to sneak a s’more when the wilds are not looking. You don’t always need a campfire to make s’mores (I sometimes pop one in the microwave).
I wanted to try out some fun new combinations. S’mores are such a fun summertime treat. The sky is the limit when it comes to crafting your own personalized treat. We used bananas, HERSHEY’S Caramel syrup, and Planter’s Peanut Butter. I think my favorite out of these was the banana and peanut butter s’more. It was so tasty!
The secret to the perfect s’more is the marshmallow. It needs to be roasted just right. John is the best at roasting them to perfection. You have to make sure the heat is evenly distributed around the marshmallow. You want to get a nice golden brown outside and a warm gooey inside. I always end up burning mine. I’ll leave the roasting to my husband!
- Jet-Puffed Marshmallows
- Honey Maid Grahams
- HERSHEY'S Chocolate Bars
- HERSHEY'S Caramel Syrup
- Planter's Peanut Butter
- Start by breaking the grahams in half to get them ready for the toppings. Pick out any extra toppings you would like to use. Put the toppings on one of the grahams. Break off a piece of the chocolate bar and put it on the other half of the graham. Using a skewer or roasting tool roast the marshmallow evenly on all sides. When the marshmallow is ready carefully place it between the two halves of grahams and toppings. Enjoy immediately!
I have shared with you some of my favorite s’more combinations. What is your favorite way to make and enjoy s’mores?
