I mentioned Bulletproof coffee a few weeks ago. I first heard of it a couple years ago but just took the plunge recently. While perusing the library last week I found The Bulletproof Diet book. While doing my research for the coffee I discovered there was a whole diet. I didn’t think much about it until I read this book. I highly recommend it. And I am not being paid a cent for this post.
Dave Asprey, the creator of Bulletproof, biohacked his body. He knows more about his body than the average Joe. Some of the points are a little out there but for the most part very interesting. After reading this book and doing my research I’ve decided to give the diet a try. The first phase is two weeks. I can do that. It reminds me of Paleo. The emphasis is on veggies and meat.
I just feel like I’m in a food rut right now. I think this will be the push that I need. With the weather finally warming up I need to get all my healthy practices in order. I’m heading to Whole Foods later today to look for all the foods. I’m on the hunt for grass fed organic beef. I know we’ve all been long told that too much red meat is bad for you. But according to this book as long as it’s grass fed organic, you’re good to go.
I’ll update you on my progress as I go. I’m putting this post out there to keep me accountable. I really want to stick with this for the whole two weeks. I have a couple pounds to shed but that’s not the main reason I’m doing this. I want my energy levels back. I’m starting to feel sluggish in the afternoons again. I’m sure it is connected to what I’m eating.
So we will see! Have you ever tried the Bulletproof diet? Stay tuned…
