Saturday night was just what I needed. Girls’ Night out is good for the soul. Torey, a friend of mine, was celebrating her 30th birthday. We started at a Mexican restaurant for dinner. The place was just a few miles from my house. I’ve never eaten there but am sure I will return. Some of the girls were heading downtown after dinner. I was undecided. John told me to go and have a good time.
I decided to go and am glad I did. We went to a dance club. It has been ages since I have been to a club. It was a blast. It’s a much different vibe when you go to a club as a happily married mother of two then when I’d go with a fake ID. I had fun dancing the night away with all my girlfriends. I even scared away a creeper by telling him I was probably closer to his mom’s age.
Yesterday was a rough day spent recovering. But it was worth it. I’m blessed to have a great husband who understand that us girls just need to let our hair down every once in awhile. I’ve got my fill for the next few years. Now tonight it’s time to cheer on the Bucks! O H!
What do you do for girls’ night?
