Nathan turned 6 on Saturday. He decided he wanted a Transformers theme. Good thing Transformers are in right now. I was able to find lots of fun stuff for the party. Since Optimus Prime is red and blue I even snagged a few decorations on clearance from the 4th. We had fun picking everything out and getting ready all week. I even bought shirts for all of us to wear.
I decided to do cupcakes again this year. They are so much easier. There is no cutting or plate passing. And I feel like they are the perfect serving size for the kids. I finally bought a cupcake stand. As much as I make cupcakes I don’t know why I didn’t get one sooner. It worked out great. It gave the cupcakes more of a cake look.
We played pin the shield on the Autobot and we also had a pinata. I think all the kids had a blast with the pinata. Nathan was so excited when we picked it out. Who doesn’t want a beat a Transformer filled with candy? All the kids were quite the sluggers. Nathan requested pizza so that’s we had for lunch. I loved that I didn’t have to cook!
He opened presents and got a ton of awesome gifts. I really hope him and his friends enjoyed the party. I had fun getting it ready. I’m so glad Grandpa and Grandma Jane were able to help us celebrate. It was a great day!
