Finally! I have a health and fitness post to share with you! I got back into the game head first this week. I think I just needed a little motivation. I decided since I’m an ambassador for not one but two mud runs I better start training. I hit the ground running. I have been wanting to try classes at our gym for awhile now. I just hate walking in as the new person. I finally just did it. I tried Body Attack and Body Combat. They were both great! I burned almost 700 calories in both classes. I was sore and it hurt so good!
Body Attack was chaotic. It is a cardio/plyometrics class. We were constantly moving and doing something different. We even ran laps around the room. I was exhausted by the end but felt wonderful. Body Combat is martial arts inspired. We did lots of punching and kicking. The class was supercharged with adrenaline. The instructor is pregnant but she could kick my booty any day. It was very motivating. I left the class feeling like I could rip someone’s face off.
I also got back to clean eating. I made a few green smoothies this week. I forgot just how much I like them. I’ll share the recipe of my new favorite one. I found it while perusing Pinterest of course. It’s called a Snickerdoodle Green Smoothie. So good! I tweaked it a little. I added a bit more cinnamon, chia seeds, and ice. Yum! You really need to try it!
