Conversation Hearts Martini

February 12, 2014

With Valentine’s Day on Friday I was thinking of a fun martini that I could whip up. The Conversation Heart Martini was born. I don’t think anything says Valentine’s Day quite like those fun little hearts. I have loved them since I was a child. Now with two children of my own, they are always a V Day staple in our house.

I feel like most people gravitate to chocolate for Valentine’s. Now don’t get me wrong. I love chocolate. I am a serious chocoholic. But this time I wanted to try something different. I’m also a fan of bright colors. This cocktail is a nice bright pretty pink.

This drink is super simple. It can be modified to your personal taste. Drop some conversation hearts into your martini glass. Pour vodka, whipped vodka, and pink lemonade into a shaker full of ice. Shake, shake, shake! Fill your glass and enjoy!

I have never had a martini before. This looks like the perfect starter drink. I LOVE conversational hearts. They remind me of my childhood. Valentines staples in our house are Heart Shaped meals (pancakes, pizza, treats, etc.)

Great idea. I only recently discovered I love dirty martinis…so this seems the opposite end of the spectrum. But I do love sweets. I will have to give it a try. :) Stopping by from SITS. Have a great evening.

I’ve never thought to put candy in a cocktail, or any drink, but I love sweets, so why not. And I love vodka and pink lemonade so sounds like a great drink.

What a fun idea! This is one of the few Valentine ideas I haven’t yet seen on every linky party and Pinterest board. Love the creativity but must admit I know next to nothing about vodka. What is whipped vodka?

Whipped is the flavor. It’s whipped cream flavored vodka. Very sweet stuff :)
