Logan’s birthday was on Friday. We had a small party for him and the theme was Minions. He wanted Spiderman. Nathan had that theme last year. So I talked him into what I wanted :) Once he saw all the decorations he was totally on board. I had so much fun with this theme.
The cake pops were my favorite part. I was perusing the internet and that’s how I got inspired. It wasn’t one particular site it was combination of many. I had a vision in my head and went to the store to get my supplies. I made cake balls but shaped them like cylinders. I then used yellow and blue candy coating. I found candy eyeballs at Walmart. I then used black writing icing to put on the details. They came out super cute and tasted good too.
I wrapped all the presents in blue paper and used yellow ribbons. The wilds have lots of little minion figurines. I stuck those up in the chandelier and up on the curtain rod. Little minions were peeking out everywhere. I also made minions hanging from the ceiling. I used tissue paper and made big yellow balls and glued on construction paper eyes.
I also made minion masks for the kids to wear. I bought cheapy sunglasses and glued on construction paper. It was super simple and the boys loved it. I’m so happy at how everything turned out. Everyone had a great time and I think the birthday boy really enjoyed his party.
