Fleming’s Prime Steak House & Wine Bar

May 28, 2013

I attended this complimentary blogger event at Fleming’s in exchange for my review. However, all opinions are my own.

Last Tuesday night I had the pleasure of attending a sampling event at Fleming’s. If you have never dined at Fleming’s you need to stop everything and go now. Seriously! It is that good! My last time dining at Fleming’s was many moons ago. John and I had dinner there when he lived in Cleveland before kids. Even though it’s been awhile we still rave about how delicious everything tasted. When I saw the invite for this event in my inbox I was stoked!

We started by sampling their spring Taste the Season. It was a perfectly cooked Filet Mignon. It literally melted in my mouth. It was accompanied by a Beet and Orange salad and Mushroom Ragout. I usually don’t go for beets but this was absolutely delicious. I could have licked my plate. The flavors paired beautifully.

Then we sampled the Small Plates Big Pours menu. This menu is fantastic. I love to eat. But I hate feeling so full after my meal. The Small Plates are the perfect size and perfect price. You get just the right amount of food and an affordable date night. I chose the Colossal Shrimp Skewers. It came with chimichurri dipping sauce and a fennel citrus salad. Delicious! I ate every single bite. It was paired with a Pinto Gris. The wine was perfect.

There are seven different small plates to choose from. They are all paired with a different wine. Speaking of wine we got to play with their new WiNEPAD™. It is a custom app on the iPad that allows you to easily navigate the wine list. Fleming’s is known for having 100 wines by the glass. It can be a little intimating when choosing a wine. The WiNEPAD™ makes it easy and so much fun. I could have played with it all night.

Now we can’t forget dessert. A ginormous piece of carrot cake was sat down in front of me. I literally had to hold in my squeals. Carrot cake is my absolute favorite! This dessert was absolutely divine. It is made in house. I refrained from eating the whole piece. You better believe I took it home. I got to enjoy it again the next day. It was just as delicious the next day.

This experience was wonderful. I am looking forward to going back with John. As soon as I find a sitter we are high tailing it back to Fleming’s. You really need to go check out their seasonal items before they are gone. I promised you won’t be disappointed!

Have you dined at Fleming’s recently? What do you think of the WiNEPAD™ concept?
