How is it Friday already? This week flew by. With that being said let’s talk about my fitness this week. Tuesday John and I went for a run. I really didn’t want to but I did anyway. I did a 5k in about 30:30. I’ll take it. These days I am happy with anything around a 10 min pace. I’ll get faster. I just need to do more sprints. I see speed work in my future.
I got back to Zumba this week. When I miss for a few weeks I forget how much I love it. It is really fun and doesn’t feel like a workout at all. I’m out of breath and sweating by the end of the hour but I could turn around and do it again. I’m getting much better at it too. I don’t feel like a fumbling fool anymore.
My eating has stayed on track for the second week in a row. I did put on a couple pounds last month. They are slowly coming back off. Seeing the scale moving again makes me happy. I really want to hit my goal weight in the next couple of months. I’m most proud of my triceps. I don’t have the jiggle! And you can actually see the muscle :)
Next week I’m going to shoot for three runs. Hopefully one or two of them can be trail runs. Mud Endeavor II is quickly sneaking up on me. I’m in need of a new pair of running shoes. I’m going to act like a real runner and go to a running store. I want them to look at my gait cycle and recommend a shoe for me. I love my Nike’s but I think it’s time to step it up.
