Sunday Nathan came running in to tell us the Easter Bunny came. We tried to keep him quiet for a little bit longer because Logan was still sleeping. That didn’t last long. He was too excited. They took off to find their baskets. The Easter Bunny brought them lots of good stuff this year. There wasn’t a lot of candy because the bunny knew that the eggs for the egg hunt later were filled with candy.
Then they boys looked for the eggs we had colored. The Easter Bunny hid them in the living room and the kitchen. Logan was really getting it this year. I love watching how excited the wilds get when they would find an egg. Next year we’ve got to hide more. They will both be big enough to find them on their own.
We spent the day enjoying the beautiful weather. Friends came over that evening for dinner. We spent the evening eating, eating, and more eating. We set up an egg hunt for the kids. We hid about 75 eggs. The kids went crazy running around for eggs. Logan was only a couple eggs in when one came open in his basket. He saw there was candy in it and he was done. He was done until the candy was gone and then he’d look for another egg.
By the end of the night the wilds had consumed their weight in candy. I just let it go. One day isn’t going to hurt them. After being wired they finally passed out on the couch. It was a great day spent with each other and great friends. We are very blessed and I am so thankful for our Risen Savior. Hope you all had a great Easter too!
