Health & Fitness Friday (8)

Can you believe we just completed week 8 of this year? Today is March 1st. Where does the time go? I've been back on my health and fitness track for two months now. I'm feeling good about the past 60 days. I have completely changed my diet and stuck with it! I've been averaging 3 days at a week at the gym. I think I'm doing great.

The only thing I'm frustrated about is my weight. I have not budged in almost a year. A year! I'm beginning to think that the weight I'm at is just where my body is happy. I'm going to keep toning up. Even though I have not lost any weight I can definitely feel and see more definition in my body. My clothes look better and I don't cringe when I get dressed.

John and I have another 5k coming up next weekend. We are doing the Bolt Run that we did last year. I am so excited to race myself and try to beat my time. Two weeks after that John is doing Mud Endeavor with a friend. It's coming again in April and I'll be doing that one with him. We've got some major trail training to do.

What's going on in your world of fitness? Any fun events coming up?

It can be discouraging when the scale hasn't budged, but non-number changes are even better I think. Having clothes feel better and having more energy are two of the best rewards of exercising and eating healthy. You got it!

It's so hard to say because I know I'm bad about it, but be sure to look at how your clothes fit and not what the scale says! It's a true reflection of the muscle you've built which burns more fat!

Weight is one of the most frustrating areas when it comes to working out and eating healthy but don't let it get to you. Just because you aren't seeing the loss in numbers, you are clearly seeing the work you have done in your body and that is where you should be happy, not with what the scale is telling you. Keep up the good work.

Jen I am with Kat and the other girls...I think you've been building awesome muscle tone and that's why the scale doesn't seem to be moving. But if your clothes are fitting better and you are noticing definition...I'd say you are doing everything right girlfriend! You've been so dedicated...you should be proud no matter what. I think you are one hot mama :)

So fun! I love the Bolt run. That was my first race of the year. We can't do it this year bc my son has a game sat. morning :( Have a great time! Glad the Bolts are back so you can enjoy a lightning game as well!

I hate the scales. I haven't lost anything in a year either. But on the plus side i haven't put any on. I'm aiming to tone up and if I loose weight, it's a plus. Keep up the good work!!
