Health & Fitness Friday (7)

Happy Gasparilla Eve!! It is finally here! John and I will be heading downtown later today to pick up our race packets. I'm excited but also nervous about tomorrow. It will be my first race on my own. I will not have my biggest motivator by my side. I have ran every other race with John. However, I just have to tell myself it's only 3 miles. I'll be thinking about him and my babies waiting for me at the finish line.

Sunday is the big day! John's first half! He's been busting his ass for the past 6 weeks. Yep, he trained for this in just six weeks. He's a beast. The anticipation of seeing him cross the finish line is killing me. My stomach is in knots thinking about how it is going to go. I mean I know he's going to rock it. I just hope he finishes in the time he's set for himself. I want him to be proud of his accomplishment. Sometimes he's too hard on himself. (Sound familiar Jen Davis?)

My workouts were light this week. My mom just got into town on Tuesday. She will be here a month. I'm helping her get a health and fitness plan established. We've been taking it easy so that I can get her acclimated to working out without injuries. It fun to have a partner in crime here for a bit. Working out alone can get boring.

How did your week in health and fitness go? Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Awesome that you and Mom can play at the gym together! When you do you find the time to go? Early Mornings or evenings?

He trained for only 6 weeks??? And I thought my 3 months for my first half was short! (I came from running NOTHING, though) John will do great, he's a runner.

And I know you're going to kick arse too!!! Cheering you both on from afar!

AHHH!!!! This is the big weekend!!!!! Jen...You've got this!! You've been working out, eating right, logging the miles. I know going at it alone is scary...but I have no doubt that you will finish with flying colors!! Its all mental anyway. Just keep imagining John and the boys waiting for you at the end :-) And yes...your hubby sounds just like me but seriously...6 WEEKS? He should already be so proud of his hard work. But I will be praying for him and I CAN'T WAIT for you to post about how both of you do in your races this weekend. Good luck sweetie!!! xoxoxo
