I’ve been really hitting the fitness hard this month. Before I met John I was not athletic at all. And really it took me until after I had Nathan to start working out. Growing up I was blessed with not having to worry about what I ate. I was always skinny. But in my early 20s I put on a little bit of weight. Obviously when I got pregnant I put on even more weight. I don’t feel like I have ever been overweight I just wasn’t happy with where I was.

The beginning of last year I decided to change that. That was when I did a whole revamp of my diet and started running. Now I will never turn back. Yes, I go through phases where I’m not as disciplined as I should be but that’s ok. I still keep the big picture in sight and eventually get back on track.

The main reason I exercise and eat healthy is my health. Now it is more important than ever. At this point it’s non negotiable. I feel better than ever. The second reason is that I want to live a long healthy life with my family. I want to teach the boys good habits. I love being an active family. I feel like an active family is a happy family.
The third reason I work out…I want my husband to do a double take when I walk by.
