Fun Times with Grandma & Paupie

Grandma and Paupie got here on Friday morning. That afternoon we all headed to the Zoo. Nathan just loves those dinosaurs and wanted to see them again. The weather was perfect and we really enjoyed the Zoo. That evening we headed to Ybor City for dinner. We went to the Spaghetti Warehouse. Dinner was pretty good, the company was better :) That night after the boys went to bed we got Cheryl to drink a shot. I say drink because it was the longest shot known to man. It only took her like an hour to choke it down! Fun times!!!







Saturday morning we went over to the power plant to see the Manatees. There weren't many left but again the weather was perfect. We stopped for lunch on the way home. For the rest of the afternoon we played on the patio.

We had such a great visit. It was very nice to finally get to spend some quality time with Ed. He really is a great man. And he loves Nathan and Logan as if they are his own. I can now see why Cheryl fell in love with him. Thanks Grandma and Paupie for the wonderful time!

Logan's 1st NHL Game

Last night John and I took Logan to his first NHL game. It was mommy's first too! John was given the tickets from Channel 10 News. The tickets were for the Channelside Club. I ate sooo much! There was food everywhere!! It was very nice. Logan freaked out the first few times the Bolts scored (they sound a big blow horn). But then he slept most of the time. Nathan stayed with our sitter Rachael. He always has a lot of fun with her. I missed not having Nathan there but it was nice to get out with just Logan.

What a weekend!!

We had a wonderful weekend!! John was off Saturday, Sunday, and Monday!! Saturday after the gym we headed to Tropicana Field for the Rays Fan Fest. It was fun to get out of the house. Nathan got to run the bases a few times. It was neat to get to walk around the field. We are excited for baseball season to get underway!



Sunday we all went to the Zoo. They are having DinoQuest right now. It is a special Dinosaur exhibit showcasing 20 mechanical dinosaurs. Nathan was a little freaked out at times but we all really enjoyed it. The dinos are very lifelike.



And yesterday we went to the gym and ran errands. When we got home John and Nathan washed the car. The weather has been absolutely perfet! We have even ate dinner on the patio a couple of times.



We are looking forward to Grandma and Paupie visting at the end of the week. Then Nana and Pop Pop get here on Sunday. Lots of fun visits coming up! And we can't forget about our beach vacay next week! Casey Key here we come!!!

I wanted to say Thank You to Aunt Anna Marie!! You ALWAYS think of our boys! It means so much to us :) We really appreciate you! Wish we lived closer! Love you!!

Can I have your attention please

Yesterday we took Valentine's Day pictures of the boys. I will post them as soon as I am done editing them. They turned out very cute!

I want to address something else with this post. It really really bothers me John calls me antisocial. I am not antisocial. I am just painfully shy! And if you are not shy than you have no idea what it feels like. I HATE it!! It is literally paralyzing sometimes.

It sucks for people to think that I am antisocial or stuck up bc of my shyness. I am one of the most down to Earth people you will ever meet. Being shy is just a personality trait that I was born with.

I am not antisocial!! I am not trying to avoid anyone or anything!! I have social anxiety!! And forcing me to do things outside of my comfort zone will not help me. It will just make it worse. Believe me life would be much easier if I wasn't shy. And it's not as easy as just getting over it.

We finally got out!!

John was off yesterday and we did a little retail therapy at the Outlet Mall. The boys were so good!! Nathan even did awesome while we were in Brooks Brothers FOREVER picking out suits. The associate at the store even commented on how good my boys were :)

Nathan has been doing awesome with potty training! We've had a few accidents but that's too be expected. We did put him in a diaper while we were shopping yesterday. Which I'm glad we did because he slept most of the time and we were out much longer than we had planned.

Logan's follow up appointment was this morning. Doctor said everything looks and sounds great. Finally all the sickness is gone from both boys!!!

Do the Potty Dance :)

I started hitting the potty training hard again yesterday. We have tried several times in the past. I always end up getting discouraged and throwing in the towel. Potty training is one of the most frustrating things I have ever done. Nathan knows what to do and that he should do it but then pees on the carpet and laughs.

BUT we had a major breakthrough today!!!! He went ALL day with NO accidents! Not one!! And he took it upon himself to sit on the potty every time. I would occasionally remind him but for the most part he did it on his own. I cannot even describe how proud I am of him! Every time he went we would do the potty dance, high five, and he would get a sticker. I tried my best to show him how excited and proud of him I am :)

It's funny what becomes the highlight of your day after becoming a parent! We even called Daddy to tell him Nathan pooped on the potty!! Who knew that pooping would become such a big event :) Soo now let's see if it sticks and if he continues to do so well tomorrow ;)

Things are looking up!!

Finally I feel like I can stop worrying about the boys! They both are still coughing but that could last up to two weeks. Nathan is completely done with breathing treatments. Logan may still need some today but then I hope we can stop. SOOO glad we are finally through the worst of it!

Yesterday John was off and we just did some things around the house. It will be nice when we can get out and do something fun! We've been in the house for the past two weeks because of everyone being sick.

Round 2

Yesterday morning we went back to the Doctor. Good news Nathan is on the mend! He is much better than he was a week ago. Bad news is that Logan now has RSV. Ugh! I tried everything I could to try to keep him from getting sick. RSV is just too contagious. So now starts round 2. The next couple of days are going to be the worst. He is going to get worse before he gets better :( Very hard to see my little baby sick! After he coughs he whimpers...that rips my heart from my chest.

We just really have to watch him close the next couple of days. His treatment is the same as Nathan's. Breathing treatments every four hours. He doesn't like them much but at least he can't run from us like his brother. Last night was rough. I did however get to sleep in the same bed as my husband (well for a couple hours) for the first time in a week. That was nice!

I just need to get through the next couple of days. John has a long day today but tomorrow he's off at a decent time. Having him here in the evening is always a huge help. AHHH I'm just ready for everyone to be healthy and happy again!!
